Where do you go?
1st period classes will be posted in these areas:
6th Grade: Main Entry
7th Grade: Commons
8th Grade: Main Gym
Your first period teacher will hand out your full schedule.

What time is it?
8:00 - Doors Open! After the first day, 8:10am.
8:00-8:35 - School breakfast available in the Commons. Find your 1st period class.
8:40 - Classes start!

We are proud to share this school year's first student, Kellogg 7th grader Darby Miller!

Many in the Shoreline Schools community may remember Darby from the school's Haunted Knights event or last year's phenomenal performance of Matilda, where Darby stole the show! This proud, well-rounded Kellogg Knight is also running for senator, participating in French club, plays the bass in orchestra, hopes to go pro playing tennis, and has recently discovered her passion for snowboarding.

Darby has also hosted a coffee shop to fundraise for the Kellogg PTSA and plans to continue this support for her school. Teacher Ms. Kuhnau shared, "Darby is a bright light that shines in all she does. Her humor is always on point, and her outgoing personality makes everyone feel welcomed."

When asked about her future, Darby offers, "You might not have enough space on there! I want to go to UW and major in three things! I'll probably only pick two because I don't want to be in school for 18 years. First, I want to study Architecture and I'm going to run for president, so I'm going to study Politics. I also want to study Performing Arts. I want to live in France or London because I love Europe."

When thinking about being selected, Darby wanted to be sure we shared a very special shout-out to her mom! She said, “I love my mom because she has inspired me to be who I want to be. She’s always told me that, no matter what, I can achieve what I want to!”

Darby's counselor, Ms. Hays, says, “Darby is a student who always makes others smile, including the adults in the building. It has been a joy seeing her flourish in theater and music, and I can't wait to see how she continues to grow as a leader in our building!”

We can't wait to see Darby's bright future unfold, and we are thankful for the spirit she has brought to the Kellogg Middle School community. Congratulations, Darby! 👏🤩
