Our grandparents day celebration for K-4 is this Friday, 9/18 from 9:00 - 10:40am. There will be donuts, a student musical performance, and lots if fun to be had! We can't wait to see everyone! 🩷🍩

We had an exciting week for Shirland Volleyball! The team kicked off the fun with a school pep rally and a Teachers vs. Students volleyball game, and the school spirit was incredible!

Then last night, both our JV and Varsity teams did an amazing job out on the court! We are so proud of our players and love seeing all the enthusiasm, teamwork, and Warrior pride from our students, staff, families, and fans.

Way to go, Shirland Warriors and Coach V! Keep up the great work! 🖤🏐❤️

Today was our team’s first cross country meet of the season, and our runners did an amazing job!

A huge thank you to Stephen Mack Middle School for welcoming our Shirland students and allowing them to join forces with your team this season. We are so grateful for this opportunity!

Both the boys and girls teams finished 3rd overall out of 11 schools! We also had several Shirland runners with top individual finishes!

We are so proud of all of our athletes and can’t wait to cheer them on throughout the rest of the season!

Way to go, Shirland! ❤️💪🏆

Today was extra special—it was the first day of Learning Buddies!

5th grade was so excited to meet their Kindergarten buddy and begin building relationships that we hope will last throughout the year. We introduced ourselves and got to know one another with a Get to Know You Activity. It was a wonderful first buddy visit!

Ms. Tenner and Mrs. James can’t wait to watch these friendships grow and see all the fun memories our 5th graders and Kindergarteners make as they learn together this year!

Welcome back, Warriors! We can't wait to see you tonight from 5:30-6:30 for back-to-school night supply drop off.

A few updates:
- No fidgets or toys should be coming to school.
- Caffeinated drinks are not allowed during school hours.
-Only water will be permitted in the classrooms.
- Dress code reminders: Students are expected to wear clothing in a neat, clean, and well-fitting manner while on school property and/or in attendance at school sponsored activities. Students’ clothing must cover midriff, undergarments, and all private areas whether sitting or standing. Sleeveless shirts less than two inches wide at the shoulder, tube tops, low cut tops, and tops with large cut outs may not be worn. Students should wear appropriate shoes at all times.
- Electronic device policy: the "bell-to-bell" ban on personal cell phones and wireless communication devices remains in effect. This includes smart watches. These items will be collected by staff at the start of each school day and returned at dismissal if brought to school.
- Students may not arrive at school until after 8:15am.

Join us as we celebrate our students’ achievements on Monday, June 1st! Kindergarten Graduation will begin at 9:00 a.m., and 8th Grade Graduation will take place at 5:30 p.m. We look forward to celebrating with you! 🥳

Our 5th-8th graders had a blast bowling yesterday as part of their PBIS reward! It was an afternoon full of laughs, snacks, rubber ducks, creative shots, & memories made with friends. 😎🎳🍕
