Seeking Volunteers: Township Planning Commission
Southampton Township is pleased to announce that it is considering the establishment of a five-member Planning Commission. The Township Board of Supervisors is currently seeking motivated, civic-minded residents to fill these five inaugural positions.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our community. The Planning Commission will play a vital role in reviewing land development plans, advising on zoning ordinances, and assisting in the long-term vision for the Township’s growth and preservation.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their interest and any relevant experience (e.g., land use, architecture, law, engineering, or a general desire to serve the community).

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚: Cumberland County Aging & Community Services is moving to a new location at 1615 Ritner Highway, Carlisle.

The office will be closed for all in-person services during the move from Monday, Feb. 16, through Friday, Feb. 20. We will reopen at our new location on Monday, Feb. 23.

Notice of Postponement of Public Hearing
for Zoning Amendment

The Southampton Township Board of Supervisors is postponing the public hearing (ZA #25002) scheduled Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Southampton Township Community Center 56 Cleversburg Road, Shippensburg, PA. The property owners William and Cheryl Collingsworth at 54 Airport Road Shippensburg Pa. 17257, have requested an extension of the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, to afford the Supervisors the opportunity to examine the overlay for the data centers. The Township Supervisors approved the extension request. The hearing will be scheduled at a later date.

The Cumberland County dog licensing event has been canceled due to the weather. The county is working to reschedule, and we will inform you of the date/time of rescheduling when available.

EVENT POSTPONED!
Due to overwhelming public interest in the forum, the Cumberland County Planning committee and its partners have decided to postpone the event because of limited space.
Once a new date has been established, they will notify everyone who registered and share the information on the Cumberland County website and social media platforms.

2025 Dog Licenses are now expired. All dogs 3 months and older must be licensed in PA, or owners can be fined up to $500. 🐾

Get your 2026 license online, by mail, or in person at the Cumberland County Treasurer’s Office or at one of our licensing events.
