SAMS Student Council is partnering with the Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition to promote the movement in the month of Feb. Be on the lookout for fun activities for students to do in school, a spirit week and the opportunity to purchase BeKind bracelets and stickers at lunch. SAMS Students are invited to support SU basketball on Jan 17th for both the women’s and men’s games! They and a parent/guardian get in for free, they get a free SU Big Red pop-it fidget and there are refreshments, activities and more! If they want to attend, they need to turn in the form to their homeroom teacher by Jan 11th. Forms were handed out in homeroom.

Unity Spirit Week is this week at SAMS to promote Unity Month. The key message of this month, and Unity Day on October 18th, is to unite for kindness, courage, and inclusion, to prevent student bullying. Unity Bracelets are for sale again today and students can also pick up a “No Tricks, Just Treats” order form at lunch if they’d like to purchase treat bags to send to others.

This month, SAMS student council is promoting Unity Month. The key message of this month, and Unity day on October 18th, is to unite for kindness, courage, and inclusion, to prevent students from being bullied. This week in homeroom all SAMS students are asked to reflect on what makes them unique and proud of who they are as an individual and what they can do to help make SAMS a safer place. Stay tuned for how their responses will be displayed!

Tonight is the night for the 6th grade roller skating party! Don’t worry, if you are in 6th grade and didn’t buy your ticket at lunch, you can show up tonight and pay $10 to attend! 7th and 8th graders, tickets will be sold at lunch starting tomorrow until the day of your event, Sept 13!
