For the third consecutive year, Lachlan Tabacheck has qualified for the Pennsylvania State Track and Field Championships. Lachlan, joins Barrett Kemp and Cheyenne Mehl as the only OV athletes to ever qualify for the State Championship three times.

Last Friday at the District 9 Championships he won his third consecutive District title in the triple jump and finished third in the long jump as he broke his own school record with a leap of 22’ 2”. Lachlan has now won four District Championships and holds the District 9 record in the triple jump.

The PIAA Track and Field Championship is something to truly behold. Over the course of the next two days, Lachlan will be competing with over 2,800 other athletes from around the state and in front of over 10,000 spectators. He sits as the 10th seed in the long jump and 8th seed in the triple jump as he will be looking to add to the 8th place medal he won at last year’s Championship.

Lachlan, OV is proud of you and we wish you the best of luck! Go Green!
