It wasn't a clean sweep for the challengers -- Brooks sided with the state on a handful of claims -- but it was overall a good outcome for the future of direct democracy in Arkansas.

In a healthy democracy, we all have the right to participate directly in shaping the laws that govern our lives. That's why we challenged these restrictions in court — to protect Arkansans’ right to speak, organize, and propose laws.

And this isn't over yet. Several claims, including challenges to Arkansas’s residency and domicile requirements for canvassers and vagueness challenges to the state’s ID and reading requirements, will proceed to trial later this month.

This is about defending democracy and the will of the people, and we will continue fighting for both.
