It has been a month since the Mobile Speed Cameras went live and we wanted to provide our community with an update. So far there has been 3,300 drivers who have driven more than 11mph over the posted 25mph zone on SW Oregon St and they will be receiving a warning citation in the mail.

Tomorrow, June 23rd, the 30-day warning period is over and citations will start being issued to drivers who speed 11mph or more over the 25mph speed limit.

Please help us keep our neighborhoods safe by slowing down and driving safely.

Emerald Ash Borer Found Closer to Sherwood

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), an invasive beetle that kills ash trees, was recently confirmed in King City, bringing the known infestation area significantly closer to Sherwood.

Since being discovered in Oregon in 2022, EAB has continued to spread and poses a serious threat to ash trees, including those found along waterways and in neighborhoods throughout our region. While EAB cannot be eradicated once established in an area, communities can slow its spread and protect valuable trees through early detection and proper management.

If you have ash trees on your property, now is a good time to learn the signs of infestation and how to report suspected cases. Early detection and proactive tree care can help slow the spread of this destructive pest.
