⚠️ PARK REMINDER ⚠️

Today, a broken glass soda bottle was found near the splash pad at Wanick Park.

For the safety of all park visitors—especially children who use the splash pad and play areas—glass containers are NOT allowed in the park. Broken glass can cause serious injuries and requires extensive cleanup to ensure the area remains safe for everyone.

We ask all visitors to please bring beverages in plastic, aluminum, or other non-glass containers and help us keep our park clean and safe.

If you see broken glass or other hazards in the park, please report them to Village staff as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping make Wanick Park a safe place for everyone to enjoy! 🌳☀️💦

🚴‍♂️ Happy Wisconsin Bike Week! 🚴‍♀️

It’s one of our favorite weeks of the year, a chance to celebrate safe riding, healthy habits, and our amazing community. Last year, our team handed out over 50 scoops of ice cream to riders we “caught” biking safely and wearing their helmets. We loved seeing so many kids, teens, and adults making smart choices on the road.

We’ll be out again this week, keeping an eye out for safe riders and looking to hand out even more ice cream to those showing great bike safety habits. So strap on that helmet, stay alert, and enjoy the ride.

✔ Wear a properly fitted helmet
✔ Be visible with bright clothing and lights
✔ Follow traffic laws and signals
✔ Stay aware of vehicles and road conditions
✔ Check your brakes and tires before you roll out

Let’s keep our community safe, active, and smiling—one bike ride (and one scoop of ice cream) at a time.
