Sory Elementary is looking for an amazing 5th Grade Math Teacher to join our Husky family! ❤️💙

We are searching for someone who is passionate about growing students, building relationships, and helping students become leaders one Husky at a time. At Sory, we believe in creating a positive culture where students are loved, challenged, and empowered to lead.

If you know someone who would be a great fit for our campus, please encourage them to apply or reach out for more information. We would love to welcome another incredible educator to our team!

As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close, our Sory staff wants to give a huge shoutout to our incredible principal, Lori Hartman, and assistant principal, Kathy Indelicato!

Your leadership, dedication, and constant support make Sory a place where both Husly Leaders and staff can thrive. You work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we have everything we need, and your love for our school community never goes unnoticed.

We appreciate you both more than words can say and are so grateful for all you do. We hope you both take some time to relax, recharge, and practice Habit 7; you both definitely earned it!

One last time singing our school song. ❤️💙🐾

Our 5th grade Husky Leaders have left their mark on Sory, and we could not be more proud of the leaders they have become. We will miss them dearly, but we know they are going to do amazing things in middle school and beyond. Once a Husky, always a Husky!

Mrs. Gregory’s class completed their Personal Financial Literacy Unit this week! Students designed and painted their own food trucks after creating a business plan for the type of food they wanted to sell. They worked within a budget to decide on needs versus wants, purchased supplies for their trucks, and created menus.

To wrap up the project, students experienced what it was like to be both producers and consumers by partnering with another class to buy and sell items from their food trucks. This hands-on project was a fun and engaging way to bring financial literacy concepts to life. We are proud of our young entrepreneurs and all of their hard work!

Today we celebrated an incredible year at our Sory End of Year Staff Celebration! ❤️💙🐾

We had the opportunity to recognize so many amazing accomplishments including academic growth, years of service in Sherman ISD and at Sory, and several special campus awards. Congratulations to our Sory Teacher of the Year, Cindy Pressley, our Employee of the Year, Willie Foster, our New Teacher of the Year, Katie Denton, and our Team of the Year, our incredible Office and Admin Team!

We also took time to honor the staff members who are beginning new chapters. While they will always be part of our Sory family, they will be greatly missed.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, fellowship, staff-voted superlatives, and time spent celebrating the amazing people who make Sory such a special place. We wrapped up one incredible year together with a wonderful meal and so much gratitude for this team that continues to love kids, support one another, and build leaders one Husky at a time. ❤️

Today we celebrated our amazing 5th grade Husky Leaders during their 5th Grade Walk. It is hard to believe these students are preparing to leave the halls of Sory and begin a new chapter in middle school. While we will miss their smiles, leadership, laughter, and the impact they have made on our campus, we are so proud of the young leaders they have become. We know they are going to do big things and continue to make a difference wherever they go. Once a Husky, always a Husky! ❤️💙🐾

Sory Elementary was honored to welcome FranklinCovey to our campus in February to capture and celebrate our Leader in Me journey. Their visit gave us the opportunity to share OUR story; a story centered around leadership, culture, and academics, all of which are woven into everything we do at Sory each and every day.

The video they created is something we are incredibly proud of because it truly reflects the heart of our school. From our students’ voices, to our staff’s dedication, to our families’ support, it captures the leadership culture that makes Sory such a special place to learn and grow.

Thank you, FranklinCovey, for helping tell our story! ❤️💙

As we wrap up another incredible year at Sory, some of our Husky Leaders chose to spread a little extra kindness and love to the teachers who have impacted them this year. 💙❤️

This video is full of smiles, sweet moments, and reminders of the special relationships that make Sory such a special place. Our students are the heart of our school, and moments like these remind us why we do what we do each day.

We hope you enjoy this special end-of-year video as much as we did! Have a great summer, Husky Leaders! We can’t wait to see you back in our hallways in August.
