E-Mobility Ordinance Introduced

At last night's Town Council meeting, the Town of Sheridan introduced a new E-Mobility Ordinance designed to promote safety, awareness, and responsible operation of electric mobility devices within our community.

The table below outlines the classifications of E-Bicycles, E-Scooters, E-Motorcycles, and other electric mobility devices. Our goal is to ensure that both children and adults understand the rules, responsibilities, and safety considerations that come with owning and operating these devices.

Education will be a key component of this initiative. The School Resource Officer (SRO) will work closely with students to help them understand the different classifications of e-mobility devices, applicable regulations, and the importance of safe operation.

As the popularity of electric mobility continues to grow, we are committed to providing the information and resources needed to help keep everyone safe while enjoying these devices responsibly.

We encourage all residents and parents to review the information provided and familiarize themselves with the new ordinance requirements.
