We have a big update to share about our Buffalo class “Nature’s Playground!” First off, we have expanded the age range of this class to 6-9 years old!

Second, this Buffalo-based class has been opened up to both Johnson AND Sheridan County residents! How will this work? Students from Sheridan will be picked up at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library at 7am and taken to Buffalo to join the other students. At the end of the day, Sheridan students will be dropped off back at the library at 2pm.

Pick up for Buffalo students will remain in Buffalo, WY, at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center at 8am and drop off at 1PM.

A little City Council field trip for Compass tonight!

Our ED, Tifany, had the opportunity to share a brief update with Mayor and Council about the work Compass is doing in Sheridan County and the impact of GPET funding in helping make that work possible.

GPET funds help support services that strengthen families right here in our community: CASA advocacy, supervised visitation and safe exchange, parent education, school-based family support, and connections to resources.

Put simply: these funds help Sheridan invest in family stability. And when families are supported, our whole community is stronger.

We were also grateful to have two Compass board members there tonight. Board involvement matters, not just in meetings, but in showing up, learning the work, representing the mission, and being part of the conversations that impact our community.

Thank you, Traci and Art, for showing up tonight and for your continued commitment to Compass, our staff, and the families we serve. We’re grateful to have you on Team Compass! 💙

This June, we honor Reunification Month and the families who are working hard to safely come back together.

CASA volunteers play an important role by showing up consistently for children, listening to their needs, and sharing their voices with the court. Their advocacy helps ensure children and families have the support they need on the path toward safety, stability, and permanency.

Reunification is more than a case outcome. It is a journey.
