🚨 Important Reminder for Sheridan Residents: Mopeds, Motorized Scooters & Pocket Bikes 🚨

With warmer weather here, the City of Sheridan wants to remind everyone about the rules for operating mopeds, motorized scooters, and pocket bikes on our streets and sidewalks.
For clear guidance, please review the official Oregon Moped, Motorized Scooter, and Pocket Bike Guide published by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). This helpful resource outlines key requirements including:

Minimum age
Licensing & registration
Helmet use
Where these vehicles are allowed (or not allowed)
Speed limits
And more

👉 Important Note: Violations of Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) regarding these vehicles are handled by law enforcement. Operating any of these vehicles in an unsafe manner or in prohibited areas can result in citations.

Let’s all do our part to keep Sheridan’s roads and sidewalks safe for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and families. Ride responsibly and follow the rules!

The Jefferson St Dog Park is now officially OPEN and ready for all our furry friends to enjoy!

Whether your pup needs to burn off some energy, make new four-legged buddies, or just sniff around in a safe, fenced space — it's all set up and waiting for you.

📍 Location: SE. Jefferson Street (past the High School football & baseball fields)

Come on out, bring your dogs, and let them stretch their legs! ☀️
