The Grant County Sheriff's Office along with law enforcement agencies across the country will be participating in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Click It or Ticket" seat belt safety campaign. The national high-visibility seat belt enforcement effort, which coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, runs May 18-31.

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a report of a runaway juvenile; Allyssa Rapier, 17-year-old, white female. She was last seen at her residence wearing a light blue shirt and black pants. She is approximately 5'8" tall and 240 lbs. Allyssa currently has blue hair.
Any information helping to locate Allyssa would be helpful. Contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 870-942-2101.

Discard your old, unused and unwanted medications safely and securely. Stop by the Grant County Sheriff's Office today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Arkansas Drug Take Back Day. Our deputies will be set up in the parking lot to assist you with securing those medications for safe and proper disposal. No needles please.

The Sheridan Police Department along with the Grant County Sheriff's Office will be participating in a statewide enforcement. From Friday, April 17 through Monday, April 20, our officers will be conducting highly visible traffic enforcement focusing on the National 420 Mobilization. Our officers will also be looking for speeding violations, DWI, distracted driving and seatbelt violations. This is all in an effort to help reduce the number of accidents on our roadways.

A cell phone has been turned into the Grant County Sheriff's Office. The phone was found in the Prattsville area. If you lost a phone last week in the Prattsville area, contact the sheriff's office during business hours at 870-942-5039 to identify the phone and retrieve it.
