This successful event simply would not be possible without our incredible volunteers and local organizations that pitched in to make it happen.

Many many thanks to the Sherburne Inn for hosting us in their beautiful historic space, providing gorgeous decor and delicious food!

We would like to thank and congratulate our Artist in Residence Branden Law for his awe-inspiring artwork which was so well received at the event.

Thank you to Michael Wheeler, our volunteer photographer extraordinaire, we’re so grateful the Soirée was captured with such talent!

A big thank you to the musicians who performed at the event, the two duos, Stephen & Sylvia Sabin and Jo Jo Russell & Ariah Mitchell.

Thank you to Scout Troop 66 for volunteering at the Soirée and planting trees with us at the event!

We would also like to thank our sponsors: Colgate Bookstore, UHS and Zappone Subaru Norwich, as well as Pires Flower Basket, Mountain View Gardens and Walmart of Norwich for their generous donations of flowers for the event.

Yesterday, we shared the stunning pollinator artwork created by Artist-in-Residence Branden Law. Today, we're highlighting two more pieces that will be available at the Strawberry Blossom Soirée on June 13. 🎨🌸

🐝 The Great Pollinator Project Poster celebrates the first year of this exciting community science initiative at Rogers Center. Created through a collaborative effort, the poster highlights the importance of pollinators and invites others to get involved in the project. Look closely and you'll find a QR code that connects directly to opportunities to participate.

🏡 The Rogers Center Poster is a collaboration that spans generations. More than 50 years ago, Rogers Center's first director, John Weeks, created a sketch of the Visitor Center. Decades later, Ariah Mitchell rediscovered that drawing and transformed it into a vibrant digital artwork, reimagining John's original vision while capturing the beauty and energy of Rogers Center today.

Both posters—and accompanying postcards—will be available for purchase at the Strawberry Blossom Soirée.

Join us at the Sherburne Inn on June 13 for an afternoon of art, flowers, music, community, and celebration.

These stunning works by artist @.law will be available as limited-edition prints at the Strawberry Blossom Soirée on June 13. 🌸🎨

Created during Branden's 2025 Artist Residency at Rogers Center, these paintings celebrate the connection between pollinators and the native plants they depend on. The series was inspired by Rogers Center's pollinator habitat restoration efforts and highlights four important pollinators and their companion plants.

Branden is an art teacher at Norwich High School and is currently completing his Master of Fine Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design. During his residency, he created five original works while engaging visitors through artist open houses and public programs. Today, the original paintings are on display in the Rogers Center Visitor Center.

At the Strawberry Blossom Soirée, just 10 signed prints of each painting will be available for purchase, and Branden will be on hand to personally sign them.
If you've admired these pieces in the Visitor Center—or are seeing them for the first time—this is a unique opportunity to take one home while supporting Friends of Rogers.
