Position Title: Chief, Plans and Programs Flight (Supervisory Contract Specialist, GS-1102-13)

About the Position:
The 82d Contracting Squadron (82 CONS) at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Chief, Plans and Programs Flight under SCPD # 9U9GG89 - Supervisory Contract Specialist. This position serves as a Flight Chief (GS-1102-13) and an Unlimited Warranted Contracting Officer within our Plans and Programs Flight (PKP). This pivotal role supports critical internal functions, including IT Support, Quality Assurance (QAPC), Policy, and the Government Purchase Card program, which oversees over 200 cardholder accounts across 22 geographically separated units and handles over $8 million in transactions annually. As Flight Chief, you will lead a dedicated team of approximately six contracting professionals and one cyber expert.

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Meet the basic qualifications for Contracting Officer positions IAW 10 United States Code, including a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Contracting experience, unless you qualify for an exemption.
• At least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-12) or equivalent in other pay systems.
• Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Contracting Certification – Professional.
• Advanced Degrees and grade-appropriate PME is highly regarded.
