Military Child Education Coalition® and the Texas Education Agency are launching a free, 3-part Professional Learning Community series for educators supporting military-connected students and families. The 2026-27 Purple Star Campus Support PLC series is designed to strengthen your campus culture and equip your team with practical strategies for Purple Star implementation.

Each session includes a professional development lesson, collaborative discussion, real-world scenarios, and peer learning opportunities. Purple Star Office Hours with MCEC® Military Student Consultants follow each session for individualized support.

The first session is September 16, 2026. Early registration is encouraged.

With Sheppard Air Force Base playing such an important role in our community, this recognition means so much to our district. We are incredibly grateful to our campus military liaisons, staff, military families and our partners at Sheppard AFB for helping us continue to strengthen the support available to those who serve and the families who serve alongside them.

We are proud of how far we’ve come, excited to keep building on this foundation and looking forward to adding even more Purple Stars across WFISD! 💜⭐
