🍎 Base Give Back | Teacher and Instructor Appreciation Week ✈️

This week, Sheppard Top III had the opportunity to show appreciation to the educators and instructors who make a difference across our community every single day.

From Sheppard Elementary to the Technical Training Instructors across the installation, these professionals play a direct role in developing, mentoring, and inspiring others. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom and training environment, and this week was a chance to recognize that.

As part of our Base Give Back effort, we handed out small tokens of appreciation as a simple way to say thank you. It may be a small gesture, but it reflects a much bigger message. Their work matters, and it does not go unnoticed.

Also, enjoy this small photo dump from the week as we highlight some of the people and moments that made this effort special.

Please help us show some appreciation in the comments for the teachers and instructors who continue to make a difference across the Sheppard AFB community. 👏

🏁 Würth 400 Volunteer Event Recap 🏁

This past weekend, the Sheppard Top III had the opportunity to support the Würth 400 through volunteer service, and it was a great example of what the Sheppard AFB community can accomplish when people come together.

From start to finish, our volunteers showed up with energy, professionalism, and a willingness to serve. Events like this do more than raise funds. They build connections, strengthen teamwork, and create opportunities to give back in a meaningful way.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make this event a success. Your support directly contributes to the Sheppard Top III mission and the initiatives that help us continue investing in our people and community.

We’re sharing a few photos and a short video clip from the event so you can see some of the hard work and teamwork in action.

Please take a moment to like, share, and help us recognize the volunteers who represented Sheppard so well.

🌟 Shining Star Recognition: Mrs. Angie Dorsey 🌟

Let’s take a moment to recognize the outstanding work of Mrs. Angie Dorsey, who has truly embodied leadership and dedication in her role as Unit Program Coordinator!

Through her unwavering commitment, Angie successfully organized 40 random drug tests across two squadrons and established a robust program for an $8 million prescription medication audit, ensuring a drug-free culture and complete accountability of over 25,000 pharmaceutical items. 👏💊

But that’s not all! Angie also led the creation of a new tenant unit structure for 17 departments, ensuring that $55 million in medical support is provided to two wings, while facilitating 50,000 authorities annually. Her hard work and leadership have paved the way for crucial structural improvements. 💼💪

As a volunteer with the Booster Club, Angie’s impact went even further: she organized two memorable baby showers, supported Administration Appreciation Week with delicious baked goods, and helped foster a sense of unity and esprit de corps across the board. 🎉👶

Angie stepped up in a big way post-furlough by training a new staff member, ensuring operations ran smoothly with zero disruption, all while bridging a 66% manning gap. Talk about dedication and teamwork! 💯👏

Let’s give Angie a huge round of applause for all she does to strengthen our team and drive success!

📣 Team Sheppard, we need your help 📣

The Sheppard Top III is gearing up for an important fundraiser from 1 to 3 May 2026, and we are looking for motivated volunteers to help make it a success.

This is a great opportunity to support the community, give back, and be part of something bigger than yourself. The funds raised will directly support the Sheppard Top III Association and its initiatives.

You do not have to be a Top III member or even a SNCO to volunteer. All ranks are welcome to support this event, with the exception of AiTs. SNCOs are especially encouraged to bring someone from their squadron and help spread the word.

We are aiming for at least 15 volunteers per day, so if you have been looking for a way to get involved, this is your sign.

As an added incentive, the first 10 volunteers who are E-5 and below will be reimbursed for training costs by the Sheppard Top III.

Volunteer sign up closes 19 April 2026, and all required training and documentation must be completed by 20 April 2026.

If you want to volunteer or need more information, please reach out to MSgt Kyle Keefer, MSgt Matthew Rhodes, or MSgt Daryl Duncan.

Let’s show what the Sheppard AFB community can do when we come together. Drop a comment below or share this post to help us get the word out. 👏

🌟 Top III Q4 Shining Star | NCO Category 🌟

Please join us in congratulating TSgt Jason Smith, 366 TRS, on being selected as a Top III Q4 Shining Star.

Handpicked over 10 peers to serve as Advanced Course NCOIC, TSgt Smith managed 2 courses, 5 instructors, and 265 teaching hours while maintaining $5M in assets. He also coordinated multiple course adjustments that helped produce 30 graduates and contributed to the group’s TRS of the Year recognition.

He also expertly managed his section’s equipment account by clearing 86 faults across 96 assets valued at $7.4M, returning a WRM asset to Air Force inventory, and conducting 25 inspections that enabled 163K hours of training for 360 Airmen with zero course impacts.

Beyond the mission, TSgt Smith completed 3 instructor courses and 2 college courses, earning his second CCAF and a master’s degree. He then used those new skills to help revise 12% of the apprentice course, saving $80K for 300 students each year. He also gave back to the community through Homes for Freedom, helping build tiny homes for local veterans, and represented his unit at a Civil Air Patrol fair that reached 9 states and 260 members.

Big impact. Strong leadership. Well deserved recognition.

Help us congratulate TSgt Smith in the comments. 👏

💪 Fitness is not just about looking strong. It is about becoming stronger.

Every workout, every early morning, every extra rep, and every decision to keep going when it would be easier to stop is building something bigger than muscle. It is building discipline, resilience, and confidence.

Fitness is personal, but the impact reaches far beyond the individual. A stronger body supports a sharper mind, a better attitude, and a greater ability to show up for the mission, for your team, and for yourself.

Progress does not always come fast, and it does not always come easy. Some days the win is a personal record. Other days the win is simply showing up and refusing to quit.

Keep showing up.
Keep putting in the work.
Keep choosing growth over comfort.

Small efforts, repeated consistently, create real change.

What is one fitness goal you are working toward right now? Drop it in the comments and let’s motivate each other. 👇

🔥 Quiet Professionals. Loud Impact. 🔥

Not every win is public.
Not every battle is visible.
Not every Airman gets recognized.

But make no mistake, the mission moves forward because of the quiet professionals across the Sheppard AFB community who show up every single day.

The ones who fix what is broken.
The ones who train the next generation.
The ones who hold the line when no one is watching.
The ones who carry more than they ever talk about.

Resilience is not loud.
It is consistent.

It is choosing discipline over excuses.
It is choosing integrity when it would be easier not to.
It is choosing to serve something bigger than yourself.

If you are reading this and pushing through something right now, keep going. Your effort matters more than you think.

Drop a 💪 in the comments if you are committed to finishing strong this week.
Tag someone who embodies quiet professionalism.

Let’s recognize the standard setters.
