Bullitt County 4-H

Bullitt County 4-H We are a group of young people across America who learn leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H is the largest youth organization in America.

It involves young people ages 9-19. 4-H members participate in club meetings and "learn by doing" in a variety of project areas. Some of these projects include speech and demonstrations, electric, woodcraft, photography, foods, and much more. Each member can participate in the project area(s) of their choice. The 4 "H's" stand for HEAD, HEART, HANDS and HEALTH. They represent the fourfold training and development that 4-H members receive.

Our 4-H'ers had a blast at Woodworking Day Camp! Youth were able to learn about woodworking safety, the different types of equipment used, practiced measuring, sanding and following directions. All while assembling then decorating their own bird feeders, discussing birding and possible careers in Natural Resources!

Our 4-H'ers had so much fun at the Poultry BBQ day camp! Youth were able to learn how to safely use charcoal grills and how to properly cook chicken thighs and turkey burgers. A huge thank you to our specialist, Dr. Jacob for teaching this day camp! 4-H'ers have the opportunity to compete in the Poultry BBQ contest which will happen soon this summer.
