Morey FlexTech High School-Shepherd FlexTech High Schools are tuition-free public schools that encourage students to design a customized path to graduation through project-based learning.

Brooklyn started attending FlexTech her 8th grade year. Since her time here at FlexTech Brooklyn has been working at Ralley’s. Brooklyn even used the money from her job to fund her trip to Germany last year! After high school, Brooklyn would like to apply for management at Rally’s, while also attending training to become a firefighter.

Charlotte joined FlexTech her 9th grade year. Throughout her time here at FlexTech, Charlotte has been able to participate in the Tech Center to learn welding. Although she took classes on it, she is not sure if this is something she will pursue as a career in the future. Collin started attending FlexTech his 8th grade year. However, this year Collin was able to take a few more classes and is now graduating a year early. Collin took advantage of the Tech Center this year and was enrolled in their construction program. There, he learned how to do many different jobs. However, Collin plans on pursuing one in particular - electrical. Collin plans on attending college or some kind of trade school to continue his schooling in hopes of becoming an electrician.

Marc started FlexTech their 10th grade year. Throughout their years at FlexTech, Marc has been a part of our school circle and Drama Club. Marc has been in several plays throughout their time here. After high school, Marc plans on pursuing their passion for English. They plan on attending Mid Michigan College for their core classes, then transferring to CMU to major and get a PhD in English. They hope to one day become a manuscript editor.

Lauryn started attending FlexTech her 9th grade year. Over the years, Lauryn has had the opportunity to travel to Montana. Since then, she has dreamed of moving out there and owning her own property. However, after high school, she plans on moving to Lansing. She will begin looking for employment opportunities there in hopes of saving to move to Montana.

Remi started attending FlexTech this year (senior year). She relocated to our school and says it is one of the best decisions they have ever made. Remi joined our school and immediately began making friends and was able to build some relationships. After high school, Remi plans on taking some online courses in hopes of becoming a florist. However, Remi also designs and makes her own art and plans to also pursue her art and one day begin selling it.

Kaela started attending FlexTech her 9th grade year. Throughout her time at FlexTech she has participated in Drama Club and even created a new club for our school this year - Dungeons and Dragons (DnD). After high school, Kaela plans on attending Mid Michigan College for small business and entrepreneurship. She would like to one day open up her own cafe and sell her own home made baked goods.
