If you happen to pass by the front of the school, you may notice a field of blue pinwheels gently spinning in the breeze.

These pinwheels represent Child Abuse Prevention Month and serve as a reminder of the bright, healthy futures every child deserves. While they may seem simple, they stand for something incredibly important. The stand for our shared commitment to keeping children safe, supported, and cared for.

At Shenandoah Elementary, we know that the work we do each day matters. The relationships you build, the encouragement you give, and the consistency you provide help create a safe space for our students to grow and thrive.

What an incredible Career Day we had today!!!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing guests who took the time to visit, share their careers, and inspire our students. Because of you, our students were able to see the many possibilities their futures can hold—and maybe even discovered a dream job or two!

We also want to give a special shoutout to everyone behind the scenes who helped make the day run so smoothly—our staff, organizers, and volunteers. Events like this truly take a team, and we are so grateful!

Our students had a blast learning, asking questions, and imagining their futures. Thank you again to everyone who made this day such a success—we couldn’t have done it without you!

If you’ve been questioning our teachers’ fashion choices this week… honestly, same 😂

Before anyone calls for help—we promise this was intentional. We’ve been running a top-secret Underground Spirit Week (yes, we’re basically spies now 🕶️).

Here’s the evidence:
🛋️ Monday – Comfy Clothes (a.k.a. “Is this pajamas or a life choice?”)
👯‍♀️ Tuesday – Twin Tuesday (nothing like seeing double before coffee ☕)
🦸‍♀️ Wednesday – Alter Ego (new personalities unlocked… some should probably stay locked 😅)
🕺 Thursday – Decades Day (we time-traveled and forgot how to act)
🎒 Friday – Dress Like a Student (we tried to blend in… the knees and back said absolutely not)

No announcements. No warnings. Just a group of adults fully committing to confusion, chaos, and questionable decisions—all to make school a little more fun.

So if your child came home saying, “My teacher was acting weird”… they’re not wrong!

We hope you all have an amazing spring break!

Our staff hopped into the fun with a “Lucky Duck” game—hiding their ducks in the most creative and unexpected spots all around the building. And let’s just say… the creativity was egg-stra special!
