We were back in Quantico, VA this week for the FBI National Academy Associates with Class 299!

The FBINAA brings together the top tier of law enforcement leadership from around the world. Being in the room with them is never just a networking stop. It's a chance to hear directly from the people carrying the weight of public safety every single day.

This week, EDS' Andrew Cota and Ricky Braen, alongside Chris Cowan, spent time at our booth connecting with agency leaders from across the country, including Captain Nathan Kendrick of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, AL (pictured).

We had the opportunity to meet with Sheriffs, Chiefs, and Command Staff at more than 20 conferences.

🔹 Indiana Sheriffs' Annual Summer Conference: Bob Komarek connected with Fulton County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mitchell Scott.

🔹 NOBLE's 50th Annual Training Conference: Shannon Trump and Mark Bruce connected with Chief Ida Williams from the Indianapolis Public Schools.

🔹 Texas Sheriffs' 148th Annual Training Conference: Mark Bruce and Sean Morgan connected with Chief Jimmy Jackson of the Smith County Sheriff's Office.

🔹 FL FBINAA Annual Summer Conference: Sean Morgan and Paul Butler represented EDS and engaged with Florida's law enforcement community.

Extra Duty Solutions was proud to attend the Missouri Sheriffs' Conference in Osage Beach this week!

The conference brings Sheriffs and Command Staff from across the state each year for training, legislative updates, and discussion on the issues facing Missouri law enforcement.

Mark Bruce spent a couple of days talking through the real challenges of managing extra duty programs, from audit and accountability pressure to deputy retention and the administrative burden that comes with running a program in house.

Off duty doesn't mean 'off duty' when it matters.

Firefighter Rosalee Rositer was leaving her shift when she came upon a crashed, burning vehicle on I-95 in Volusia County Florida. Without hesitation, she jumped in - joining bystanders and Battalion 20 to pull an elderly couple from the car before the flames overtook the vehicle.

"It doesn't matter if you are going to get hurt or if there is an obstacle in the way," Rositer said. "It was really nice to have my training take over."

Thanks to her quick action, and the response of NSB Fire, Port Orange Fire Rescue, Volusia County Fire Rescue, and Volusia County EMS, both victims were transported and are receiving care.

Congratulations and thank you, Firefighter Rositer, for showing what it means to serve - on the clock or off.
