Rain or shine, we were proud to continue the tradition of honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Despite a little rain, members of Pine Rock Park Company 4 were honored to attend and participate in the Memorial Day parade and ceremonies alongside our community. Today serves as an important reminder to never forget the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this meaningful day.

Proud is an understatement. 💪🔥

Today, a dedicated group of our firefighters took on the challenge of the Hartford Fight For Air Climb—pushing themselves step by step in full gear to support a cause that hits close to home. Climbing flights of stairs with the added weight of turnout gear and SCBA isn’t easy, but neither is the fight that so many face every day against lung disease.

Through grit, teamwork, and determination, they powered through 688 steps or 34 flights representing not just our department, but our entire community. Their effort helps raise awareness and funds for lung health, cleaner air, and lifesaving research.

We couldn’t be prouder of the commitment they showed, both on and off the fireground. This is what service looks like.

The Derby Shelton Rotary “Flags for Hero” Fundraiser is happening from 11:30am - Midnight , and 20% of your meal will go back to support this amazing event.

The City of Shelton Office of Emergency Management encourages all residents to prepare ahead of time and review the winter storm safety tips below. A little preparation now can make a big difference for you, your family, and your neighbors.

Please check in on elderly neighbors, secure outdoor items, limit travel unless absolutely necessary, and stay informed through official city updates. Working together and looking out for one another helps keep our entire community safe during severe weather.
