The SIFD would like to introduce our newest
class “A” attack truck which is replacing our oldest in service front line truck which was 28 years old. This truck has some of the latest technology and all brand new equipment which is a great asset moving the department forward while joining the new 10-1-2 that was replaced in 2019 also .

10-1-3 is officially in service at station 3

The chiefs, offficers and the members of the department would like to thank the district and the community for letting us serve and protect our island with the best equipment possible

Shelter Island's emergency responders took part in ice rescue training over the weekend in somewhat slushy conditions at Fresh Pond.
