The Island Gift of Life Foundation, founded in 2001, is seeking a few people to join the board. The Foundation offers assistance to those who are experiencing financial difficulties with the collateral expenses incurred due to dramatic health issues. It requires 1 meeting per month, volunteering to participating on a committee assigned to a specific case & with any fundraising efforts. No special talents, as volunteering is talent enough! Monthly meetings are held on Shelter Island. ZOOM is used for those not able to attend in person. Please message us and someone will get back to you. Thank you for your consideration.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out last evening to support the Island Gift of Life Foundation, Inc. And
a special thank you to the Shelter Island History Museum for offering the amazing venue, Vine Street Cafe, Isola, the Chequit Inn and Salt for a wonderful array of hors d'oeuvres, Lenz Winery, Peconic Bay Vineyards and Jamesport Winery for the best selection of wines, and Tom & Lisa Hashagen with David Wexler for creating the perfect backdrop of music for the evening. And lastly, thank you to Gardiner's Bay Country Club for your silent auction donation and Gina Kraus,
for all your help. You are the best cheerleader any organization could hope to have! Thank you all!

Just like so many other organizations, we've had to get creative to continue our work. I'm happy to say our Board met last week for a very productive virtual meeting! It was so good to see each other's faces and work together to find ways to continue our mission of supporting those on the East End struggling with serious illnesses. Out of consideration for the community we serve and to limit opportunities for community transmission of COVID-19, the Island Gift of Life Foundation annual Cheryl Hannabury Memorial Community Cocktail Party originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28th is rescheduled to a date yet to be determined.
