Central Crossing Fire Protection District, Shell Knob, MO Central Crossing Fire Protection District provides fire, rescue & ems services to a 130 sqare mile area around the Shell K**b/Table Rock Lake area.

We have a total of 7 stations that are equipped with apparatus, the district also owns the ambulance station & one of our old stations that is used for storage. Currently we have 28 apparatus. Our Headquarters is located on 39 Highway just north of town. Station 2 is just south of the bridge on Oak Ridge Drive. Station 3 is south of town near the intersection of 39 & H highway. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Central Crossing Fire district, including all of Barry and Stone counties till 1 a.m. Monday, 6/22.

Damaging winds and large hail are the main concerns, but a few tornadoes are also possible.

Continue to monitor the weather, and have multiple ways to get alerts this evening and overnight.

If you are out on Table Rock, or planning to this evening, please make sure to monitor the weather, and head to shore when the weather starts to move towards the lake. Conditions on the lake can change rapidly, and catch those out on the water off guard.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Central Barry County, Missouri, until 12:30 AM CDT. Radar indicates a tornado near Purdy and Cassville.

This storm is moving east at 60 mph and could produce 0.75-inch hail. Areas like Table Rock Lake, Shell K**b, Exeter, and Washburn are also impacted.

Take shelter immediately. Go to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Protect yourself from flying debris.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Barry, Lawrence, and Southern Dade counties until 12:30 AM CDT. This storm brings damaging winds up to 70 mph and hail up to 0.75 inch.

Impacted towns include Monett, Aurora, Mount Vernon, Cassville, Marionville, Pierce City, and areas near Table Rock Lake. The storm is moving ESE at 41 mph. Expect considerable tree damage and potential damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the fire district, including Barry and Stone counties, till 4 a.m. Sunday, June 14th.

The tornado watch that was previously in place has been canceled.

Central Crossing Fire will continue to monitor the situation, and post updates as needed.

Potential for Severe Weather Update

6/13 at 4:15 p.m.

The potential for strong to severe weather to impact Barry and Stone counties, along with the region this evening and overnight. Central Crossing Fire is monitoring for the potential for storms to develop late this afternoon and evening to impact the district, along with the main risk for damaging winds to impact the region tonight.

Currently, radar is showing storms that are ongoing in the region, producing some rainfall and lightning. While these storms are currently not overly strong, nor severe, those outdoors should pay attention to the weather and go indoors when thunder roars. Additionally, this afternoon and evening will not be good times to be out on the lake due to the potential for rapid-changing weather conditions.

Going forward, CCFPD will continue to monitor the situation, and updates regarding watches and alerts will be shared to the CCFPD social feeds on Facebook and Instagram. CCFPD is expecting the main severe weather threat to impact the district around 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., with damaging winds being the main concern.

Potential for Severe and Flooding Weather This Weekend

6/12 - 9 p.m.

Central Crossing Fire is monitoring the potential for severe weather and the potential for flooding in the district, along with the region this weekend. The National Weather Service has put portions of the district in a level 3 out of 5 enhanced risk for severe weather and a level 2 out of 4 slight risk for excessive rainfall for Saturday and Saturday night.

There are some chances for storms during the day on Saturday, but as of this update, the highest confidence will be for a complex of storms to move through Saturday night, with the main concern being damaging winds.

This is an ongoing situation. CCFPD will continue to monitor it and make updates across our social media platforms. Make sure to follow US National Weather Service Springfield Missouri for the latest information for the region and Table Rock Lake.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Barry and Stone counties.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for the entire fire district, including Barry and Stone counties, until 9 PM Thursday.

Some potential for some strong to severe storms will exist later this evening to move though the area, bringing the potential for some gusty winds with them.
