We were honored to join the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of Shelbyville’s new Public Works building.

Thank you to Traditional Bank for providing lunch and to everyone who came out to celebrate this important day!

This new facility will support our dedicated Public Works crew as they continue serving our community and meeting the needs of our growing city.

Today, Mayor Troy Ethington joined members of our community, veterans, and first responders in observing the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
Despite the rain, those gathered stood together to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and to honor the first responders, military personnel, and countless others whose courage and sacrifice followed that tragic day.
The City of Shelbyville extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in today’s observance and helped ensure that the events of September 11, 2001—and the lives forever changed—are never forgotten.
May God bless our first responders, our military, and the United States of America.

🚧TRAFFIC ADVISORY🚧 Nighttime Lane Closure on I-64 East Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, in Shelby County

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming nighttime lane closures on Interstate 64 East beginning Monday, Sept. 14, in Shelby County.

The right lane of I-64 East at mile marker 46 (near KY 1472/Hickory Ridge Road) will be closed nightly from 6 p.m. to midnight on Monday, Sept. 14, and Wednesday, Sept. 16. The nighttime lane closures are necessary for KYTC crews to perform routine maintenance of the interstate. Motorists should heed signage and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
