Tonight, Tower Hill Fire Department hosted an IFSI basic auto extrication class. Nine different departments, including Tower Hill, participated, such as Moweaqua, Macon, Ramsey, Pana, Assumption, Shelbyville, Peoria, and Tri-County. Trainings like this give us valuable knowledge and hands-on experience from more experienced outside sources that teach different ways, which might not be taught locally, and bring new ideas to add to our toolbox of knowledge. This directly benefits our first responders, enabling them to better help our communities and the people who pass through them. These trainings help us work more efficiently to remove patients from vehicles, provide faster care, and improve coordination during emergency scenes. Opportunities like this strengthen teamwork between departments and help ensure we are prepared when our communities need us most. We would like to give a big thank you to Tower Hill Fire and First Responders for hosting and to IFSI for another solid, professional, and thorough training opportunity to sharpen our skills.
