We've been around for quite a while, longer then most bands. We've had our good times and our bad times,
But we've always managed to stay a family.

Good evening SCHS Band Family. Just some community information to share. Tomorrow at 11AM in the Auditorium of SCHS the Bedford County Veterans Organizations will be having a Wreaths Across America event. This project is funded by 100% donations- to place a real Christmas wreath on the grave of every Veteran buried across America. There are nearly 3,000 Veterans buried between the cemeteries here in our county. Tomorrows event will kick off a day of placing wreaths. For those Seniors that are still in need to log their community service hours, this is a great way to do it. Locations of graves and assignments of specific cemeteries will be done. If your interested please plan to be at the school by 1045 to sign in.
If you are not a Senior and you want to help please feel free to come. Community is invited to be part of this as well.

Hey everyone! It’s about that time a year again! Band camp is upon us in a month or so and the leaders have come up with a band camp theme! This year’s theme will be Marching Band Olympics!! We created this idea to match what this year’s show was based upon! We have lots of fun activities planned for you and we are so excited to make this camp the best yet! Every day of band camp we will have a fun activity to tell you about and we also have dress up days! Please remember this is for BAND CAMP, not PRE-CAMP. The following dress up days are as follows:

Monday: Character Day (dress as your favorite character from any movie, tv show, game, etc.)

Tuesday: Gender Bender (dress as the opposite gender)

Wednesday: Dress like Mr. G day (get your crocs and khaki pants!)

Thursday: Duo Day (dress like an iconic duo! Darth Vader and a storm trooper, Bonnie and Clyde, etc.)

Friday we will wear band shirts but if we don’t have them we’ll come up with something else

Make sure you come prepared!
See you guys then!!

It's that time of the year again!
BAND CAMP!!!!!
Congrats on getting through the first week! This week is gonna be a lot longer and harder though so we have dress up days and activities planned so it's a little less miserable. Here's a list of the dress up days (PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL APPROPRIATE !!!)

Monday: "Create your own superhero Day"

Tuesday: "Character Day"
- Dress up as any Character from a movie, tv show, game, etc.

Wednesday: "Superhero vs. Villian Day"
- Dress up as a superhero/good guy or a villain/bad guy

Thursday: "Pajama Day"
- Wear your pajamas! KEEP IT APPROPRIATE PLEASE

Friday: "America Day"
- wear red, white, and blue

Remember the more people in your team who dress up get the most points and don't have to do objectives!!!

So proud of everyone! Not only did we make finals, we placed 5th. It's so amazing to see our hard work starting to pay off, I'm so excited to see how great we can make this show!

The next movie fundraiser will be on August 4th at 9:15. They will be showing Su***de Squad. For $10 you get a ticket, small popcorn, and small drink. It's open to everyone so please bring friends and family

Congratulations on surviving the first week of band camp!
Next week we will have dress up days.
Remember to wear your outside clothes and bring dress up day clothes in your backpack.
The dress up days are as follows:

Monday - Wacky Tacky Day: wear mismatched clothing

Tuesday - Multiplicity Day: this is a play off of twin day, try and get as many of your friends to dress the same

Wednesday - Horror Movie Survival Day: dress as if you just survived a horror movie. No weapons or things that resemble weapons

Thursday - Favorite Character Day: dress as your favorite character or bring a Halloween costume

Friday - We will wear our band shirts for the parent performance
