Hygiene Kits for Children & Families We Serve
We are seeking hygiene products to create approximately 125 age-appropriate hygiene kits for children and families served through The Care Closet, a ministry of Homes of Hope.
The Care Closet serves approximately 125 children on a regular basis, supporting foster, adoptive, kinship, and other families caring for children who are not biologically their own.
We are requesting hygiene items to create individual kits that will include:
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Body wash
• Toothpaste
• Toothbrush
• Deodorant
• Face wash
• Feminine products
Age-appropriate products are important to us. Items will be thoughtfully distributed based on each child's age and needs. For example, toddlers would not receive adult face wash or deodorant, while older children and teens may receive products appropriate for their stage of development.
For many of the families we serve, meeting everyday needs like hygiene products can become another financial burden on an already stretched household budget. These aren't extravagant items—they are basic necessities that children need every day.
Providing a hygiene kit is one small way we can come alongside these families and say, “You don't have to carry this alone.”
Through this request, we hope to keep these essentials readily available at The Care Closet so families can receive what they need with dignity and without adding another expense to an already tight budget.
Every donated item will directly help us care for children and support the families who are caring for them.
