Tonight the Shelby County PCs met to caucus a new sheriff in, pending the primary which will place the vote into the county's hands.

There were three candidates on the ballot:

- Bill Elliot
- Chris Holder
- Justin Parker

31 PCs were present. Bill Elliot did not obtain any votes. The PCs voted to elect Chris Holder as the interim sheriff with 19 votes (about 61%), with Justin Parker gaining 12 (about 39%).

I'm looking forward to the primaries (May 5th, 2026) and learning more and more about these gentlemen in the meanwhile.

I'm praying the LORD's will be done and also that He blesses us with a good sheriff, qualified to the task, the best one for the job, and a man after His own heart.
