A remembrance of this day in history when courageous members of our armed forces stormed the beaches of Normandy. As evidenced by the photo, many were young and many sacrificed their lives for our great country. Never forget these soldiers as there are few left to tell the story.

Very proud of my girls of being interested in the voting process and taking an interest at a young age in the future of our country. We have always encouraged them to be active and educate themselves on the issues important to us all. I preach to them if you are not engaged in the process then you can't be heard to complain. Now, as for the little one in the picture, she's not there yet but we will have her ready to go in 15 more years!

Get Registered- Go Vote.
Here is my youngest, Kendall, in front of the courthouse just after registering to vote. She turns 18 just four days before the election and was insistent she get signed up to exercise her right. We have taught our kids this is a cherished right which many have sacrificed to preserve and we should be engaging in this process.
The deadline to register is October 11. The process doesn't take much time and you will just need an ID and your social security number. Call your local election official if there are any questions or visit their website.

THANK YOU! One year today was the election which just seemed like a moment ago in time. Its been a great year serving the people of Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall and Moore counties and I greatly appreciate all those who supported me to stay in office. Many folks made great sacrifices to help my family and I in that endeavor and I could never repay all those for their kindness and generosity. I met a number of good people on the campaign trail and created lasting friendships along the way. Again, thanks to everyone!

Thank YOU!
We made history in the 17th Judicial District by engaging the people in the district; and getting our home county and others to rally behind us setting a new precedent. I want to thank all of the folks who believed in me enough to encourage me along this road to victory. It was important to me that we keep it real and that we not get side tracked by anything other than the goal at hand…letting folks know who I am and what I do for them already. When I would meet folks along the campaign trail it wasn't always about ‘getting a vote’…it was much more about getting to know my neighbors…because the 17th Judicial District is our home. Thank you to my gracious wife who sacrificed her own personal time and pulled double duty basically as a single parent while I had to attend events. Thank you to my beautiful daughters for sharing me with the entire district as I brought the community into every aspect of our lives. Thank you to my co-workers and support staff who were supportive and understanding of the added pressures campaigning brought to my professional life. Thank you to each person who assisted with any aspect of the campaign itself as this thing took on a life of its own at times. Most importantly, thank you to each person who believed enough in the job I was already doing to trust me to continue for eight more years. I plan to honor each of you in my daily service to the 17th Judicial District! Thank YOU!
