Good Morning America! Its a lovely 23 degrees in Shelbyville Ky but we arent going to let the weather get us down, it time for RSP Drill Weekend! This weekend we are welcoming a great new bunch of soldiers for training and for most of our soldiers, this weekend will be their first experience being introduced to Drill Sgts! Thats Right we are welcoming 4 Drill Sgts to our training team and we're excited to see the escalation in training they will bring! Great Lunch Room Display at Collins High School today, I always enjoy seeing the cadets leading the way in the new ROTC there, and working with the students and faculty of SCPS. Tomorrow I'll be at the Shelby Co High School to hang out with the guys there, if you see me, come over and say "Hi"!

Let me tell you why the National Guard is the best team you'll ever be on and the second best family you'll ever have. My son has been in the Hospital at Kosair's w/ a serious illness for over a week, and my team, Area 2 Recruiting and the B27 MEPS staff have gone out of there way to help me and my soldiers-to-be to cross the line to success! I hope someday I can be there for them as well, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!

Training with the 1163rd at WHFRTC this weekend was awesome, we had a few delays here and there but all in all I think event was outstanding! Every time I train with the Medics, I am always impressed with their level of professionalism about their responsibility to save lives! Good Job 1163rd!

Its been a busy very busy, Weve been at the Ky Construction Career Days in Shelbyville for the past 2 days and got to meet over 300 High school students from over 25 Schools and about 50 of them are looking into the the National Guard! Tomorrow heading to South-Western Ky to train with the 1163rd Medical Co as they do casualty med-evac ops for the weekend!
