Today, we were proud to share in the celebration of the Grand Opening of Duksan Electera America—marking a major milestone as this leading South Korean manufacturer opens its first North American facility right here in Shelbyville, Tennessee! 🇺🇸🇰🇷

It was an honor to have Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Tennessee Dept. of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter, local elected officials, and esteemed members of our business community in attendance to commemorate this momentous occasion. Their support underscores the bright future ahead for our region as we continue to attract global investment and drive economic growth.

The Shelbyville-Bedford Partnership stands as the Destination Management Organization for Shelbyville, Town of Normandy, TN, Wartrace Town Hall, and Bedford County, Tennessee. Through work with the Tennessee Dept. of Tourist Development (TDTD Industry) and the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association (Experience Tennessee), we are pleased to announce a 3.42% increase in visitor spending! Good news such as this comes from collaboration with stakeholders such as Bedford County, Tennessee Mayor Chad Graham, Nearest Green Distillery, Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, Cooper Steel Arena, and the ever-popular Town of Bell Buckle. The real benefit to the citizens of Bedford County comes from a $156 per household savings on state and local taxes. Congratulations to the team!

Meet Maddie Crosslin: Our Stellar Intern!

We are thrilled to introduce Maddie Crosslin, who has been an invaluable part of the Shelbyville Bedford Partnership as our summer intern. Born and raised right here in Shelbyville, TN, Maddie is currently in her senior year at Middle Tennessee State University. She’s set to graduate this December with a degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management and a minor in Business Administration.

With a lifelong passion for travel, Maddie chose her major to dive deep into the world of tourism. During her time with us, she aimed to gain a deeper understanding of how tourism thrives in smaller communities. Her focus was on learning the detailed workings of our operations and the impact of tourism in Shelbyville and Bedford County.

Throughout her internship, Maddie worked closely with notable entities like Nearest Green and the Tennessee Walking Horse Show Celebration, South Central Tennessee Tourism Association and Tennessee Dept. Of Tourist Development. She also played a key role in planning the 2025 tourism event calendar for our county.

Here’s what Maddie had to say about her experience: “It’s been a blessing. I was given the opportunity to meet incredible people in the industry, build lasting relationships, and gain invaluable information. I’ve had the chance to meet people throughout our community and learn about the efforts being made to make this community grow. Working with the Shelbyville Bedford Partnership has made me excited for the future of this county, and I only want to see it thrive. It was a great experience, and I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity.”

We are so proud of Maddie and all she has accomplished. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will do in the future!

🐄 Tennessee is a leading state in beef production, with 45,000 farming operations placing us at #12 in the US. Beef cattle are among our top agricultural commodities, accounting for 16.7% of all agriculture cash receipts. We're proud to share that Bedford County ranks #2 out of 95 counties in beef and calf production in the state!

Recently, we visited some of our top local cattle producers right here in Bedford County. A huge thank you to Gary Fayard of Stonewall Ridge Farm LLC and Nick Rippy of Pleasant Valley Farms for allowing us to experience their incredible, beautiful, and successful farms. It was amazing to meet the masterminds behind these thriving businesses.
