Shelby VFW Post 4066 George Loris Dover Post #4066 established in late 1940's. Come join us in our mission in supporting Veterans and community support.

The North Carolina Veterans of Foreign Wars has a rich tradition of serving vets and community involvment. The objects of the organization are to: ensure the national security through maximum military strength, speed the rehabilitation of the nation’s disabled and needy veterans, assist veterans’ widows and orphans and the dependents of needy or disabled veterans, and promote Americanism by means

of education in patriotism and by constructive service to communities. The national organization maintains both its legislative service and central office of its national rehabilitation service in Washington, D.C. The latter nationwide program serves disabled veterans of all wars, members and nonmembers alike, in matters of government compensation and pension claims, hospitalization, civil-service employment preference, and so on. The VFW has more than 10,000 local chapters, which are known as “posts.”

Membership in the VFW is restricted to any active or honorably discharged officer or enlisted person who is a citizen of the United States and who has served in its armed forces “in any foreign war, insurrection or expedition, which service shall be recognized by the authorization or the issuance of a military campaign medal”.

Come on out to the VFW tonight for hotdog Tuesday. 2 Hotdog basket $8.00 with ff or tater tots. Regular menu also. $2210.00. IYKYK. Need a crowd let’s hit $3000. 6:00-7:45.

PSA!!!!!!!!
When coming to the VFW the lower entrance and road is closed due to the city of Shelby digging up the road to put in utilities for the houses across the street. We are still open for business but exercise caution when entering hope that we still have water. Might want to bring a 4x4 to get down already tore up street.
