Our Superintendent, Dr. Stephen Fisher, has been awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of North Carolina’s highest honors for public service, presented by the Governor’s Office of North Carolina.
This recognition reflects a career dedicated to students, educators, and communities across our state, but those of us in Cleveland County know it also reflects something more. Dr. Fisher has never simply worked for Cleveland County Schools. He has believed in Cleveland County Schools.
Throughout his leadership, Dr. Fisher has championed our mission of Cultivating Excellence, always keeping students at the center of every decision and encouraging our staff to pursue the very best for every child. His commitment to public education, his steady leadership, and his genuine care for our schools have helped shape the success of our district and the futures of countless students.
As he prepares to conclude his service with Cleveland County Schools later this month, we are grateful for his leadership and proud to see him receive this well-earned recognition.
Thank you, Dr. Fisher, for your dedication to Cleveland County Schools, your belief in our students and staff, and your lasting impact on our community!
