The Cleveland County Board of Elections is committed to conducting fair, honest, impartial, and efficient elections so that all qualified citizens in Cleveland County may exercise their right to vote. Our office is responsible for conducting all elections in Cleveland County, including special, municipal, county, state, and federal elections. Additionally, voter registration and maintenance of current and accurate voter records are core components of the Elections Office.

We are grateful to our dedicated elections workers who recently completed certification and training sessions to strengthen their skills and knowledge. This certification allows poll workers to come to the BOE to train on all aspects of precinct needs for Election Day.

🎉 Congratulations to the Cleveland County Board of Elections on the ribbon cutting of their new facility at 827 W. Marion St. in Shelby! With expanded parking, a dedicated early voting area, and enhanced equipment storage, this space was built to serve our community.

A huge thank you to the leadership who made it happen, the BOE staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes, and the dedicated poll workers who show up to serve their neighbors. 🗳️

🗳️ The results are in! Cleveland County's 2026 Primary Election unofficial results are now available. A total of 11,806 ballots were cast, representing 17.19% of registered voters.

A heartfelt thank you to every Cleveland County Board of Elections poll worker and staff member who gave their time and energy to ensure a smooth election.
