Career prosecutor Rick Shaffer was awarded the Chief Justice's Professionalism Certificate today by Chief Justice Paul Martin Newby. It was a well deserved honor for a man who has served his community for over 40 years fighting crime. Rick has exemplified professionalism his entire career and we in the district attorney's office are blessed to still be learning from him. Congratulations "boss"!

Congratulations to ADA Abby Hord on her conviction of Ronnie Gene Dishon. A Lincoln County jury recently found him guilty of Animal Cruelty for starving a dog to death. The Court sentenced him to an active sentence in that case and a suspended sentence in a related count. Great job by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Congratulations to ADA John Thomas on his conviction of Jennifer Rose Williams. A Lincoln County jury recently found her guilty of Possession of Methamphetamine. The Court sentenced her to 6-27 months, suspended for 36 months of supervised probation. Thanks to the Lincolnton Police Department for another good job.

Congratulations to ADA Ryan Hennelly on his recent conviction. A Lincoln County jury recently found Jerry Wade Peace guilty of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and being an Habitual Felon. The Court sentenced him to an active term of 76-104 months in the NC Department of Adult Corrections. Thanks to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office for a great investigation.

Congratulations to ADA Abby Hord on her conviction of Jody Crawford Adam's. A Lincoln County jury recently found him guilty of 2 counts of Level III Trafficking in Fentanyl. He was sentenced to the mandatory active sentence of 225-282 months in the NC Department of Adult Corrections and a $1,000,000.00 fine. Great job by LCSO getting 199 grams of poison off the streets of Lincoln County!

Congratulations to ADA Abby Hord on her conviction of Hazel Morris. A Lincoln County jury recently found her guilty of Driving While Impaired and misdemeanor Child Abuse. She was sentenced to 12 months on the DWI and 75 days on the Child Abuse. Both sentences were suspended for 24 months of supervised probation. Morris was orderd to serve an active sentence of 60 days. Great job by Lincolnton Police Department.

A Lincoln County jury recently found him guilty of Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Bost eas sentenced to an active term of 225-282 months in the NC Department of Adult Corrections and a $1,000,000.00 fine. Great job by Ms. Hord and the Lincolnton Police Department!
