Morning car rider families:
Thank you in advance for your help making morning drop unBEElievably smooth so we can maximize the instructional day & Bee chauffeurs can get to their next destination on time.
1. Before you leave the house, ensure shoes are tied, folders are signed, and items are zipped up inside the backpack.
2. Please seat your child on the driver's side of your back seat.
3. When you enter our campus from Wyke Rd, your Bee should be alert and ready to roll! For efficiency and everyone's safety, our car rider line is a NO SCREEN ZONE.
3. When you are three or four cars away from Mr. Sheffield's stop sign, please have your child unbuckle, put on their backpack, and be ready to exit your car independently.
4. When traffic is stopped between Mrs. Sheffield and Mrs. Schweppe's stop signs, students should swiftly exit ONLY on the side closest to the sidewalk/school. Students in lane 1 can hop out and make a bee line to the walkway. Students in lane 2 should hustle to the crosswalk where Mrs. Schweppe stands with her stop sign. (See diagram.)
5. Please remind your child to NEVER cross between cars. The best and safest place for your child to cross is with Mrs. Schweppe at the crosswalk.
6. We all have had days like Alexander in "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" by Judith Viorst. If this is the case, pull on around to our parking lot, take whatever time is needed, and then sign your child in at our front office.
