Pinnacle Classical Academy recently welcomed Kayleigh Hand, Charlotte Area Regional Recruiter for Western Carolina University, to campus to speak with PCA seniors about college opportunities and the admissions process.

Visits like these give our students the opportunity to learn more about colleges and universities, ask questions, and explore options as they prepare for life after graduation.

We appreciate Ms. Hand taking the time to visit with our students and share more about Western Carolina University.

As we celebrate Labor Day and recognize the contributions of America’s workers, we’re reminded that every career starts somewhere—with a dream, a goal, and someone who believes in what’s possible.

From our K-3 PCA students sharing what they hope to be one day to the parents, teachers, and staff who turned dreams of their own into careers, this video celebrates the journey from “When I grow up…” to “I grew up to be…”

Here’s to dreaming big, working hard, and discovering where the future may lead.

Making Math Fun: Ms. Warthen’s Students Build Skills Through Hands-On Learning

Ms. Erika Warthen’s math group at the K-3 Campus took a break from their usual routine for a little Fun Friday while still putting their math skills to work!

Students reinforced important math concepts through a friendly game of Math Swatters, combining learning, quick thinking, and a little competition. The fun got even better when Mrs. Hartsfield stopped by to check in and was invited to join the game!

At PCA, learning doesn’t always have to look the same. We love seeing our teachers find creative ways to keep students engaged while reinforcing the skills they’re learning in the classroom!

🎓 PCA Scholarship Opportunity: Applications are now open for the 2027 Chick-fil-A Community Scholars Program, a $25,000 scholarship opportunity for students who lead in their communities with a heart for service. Up to 13 service-minded leaders will be selected to receive the scholarship and participate in a year-long leadership development and mentorship program. 🔬 Science in Action at PCA!

Mrs. Beverly Simpson’s 2nd grade students are currently studying Properties of Matter, and this hands-on lab gave them the opportunity to observe and compare what happens when salt placed on paper is exposed to “rain” versus salt placed inside a plastic container with a lid.

Students were able to see firsthand how different materials respond in different conditions. This lab also leads directly into their upcoming lessons as they continue learning about the properties of matter and explore which types of containers are best suited to perform certain jobs.

We love seeing our students make connections through observation, comparison, and hands-on learning!
