M-20 in between US-31 and Garfield Rd
This work will require the road to be completely shut down, and traffic will be directed to take
US-31 up to Shelby Rd to Oceana Dr, and back to M-20.

Road will be closed to all traffic. USE ALTERNATE ROUTE.
Local residents will be able to access their homes from either side of the closure.

M-20 will be closed to all traffic at NB US-31

Not quite the blizzard of '78 but enough for us to close the office this afternoon!!
We are closing at 1pm today due to the cold, snowy conditions.
Don't forget we have the tax drop-off box in our foyer if you don't make it in time!
Also the Treasurer will be in her office all day tomorrow Tuesday the 30th from 9am until 5pm.

Christmas Eve day 12/24, Christmas day 12/25, Friday 12/26 and reopen Monday 12/29
New Year's: New Years Eve 12/31, New Years Day 1/1, Friday 1/2 and reopen Monday 1/5/2026.

The Township office will be closed Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Be safe and eat turkey!!

Notice of Road Construction:
Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Old US-31 from M-20 to the South Village Limit of Shelby, will experience a single lane closure. Please alot extra travel time as traffice will be reduced to one lane. The expected completion date for this project is October 20th, 2025.

The Pickleball Courts at Shelby Township Community Park, will be closed today, effective immediately, thru Monday, 6/30/2025. Courts are scheduled to reopen Tuesday, 07/01/2025. Please refer to this post for additional updates.
