Whispering Woods Kiwanis Park This 49.5-acre park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages.

In 1998 the Shelby-Utica Kiwanis Club funded the purchase and construction of a handicapped accessible, environmentally-friendly playscape made of recycled plastics. Features of Whispering Woods Park include nine soccer fields, an irrigated baseball diamond, a comfort station, sand volleyball courts, an 11-piece tot lot and a barrier-free Kiwanis playscape, with three belt swings and one handicap

swing, two picnic shelters, picnic tables, a 1.2-mile asphalt trail, walking/jogging paths and basketball courts.
