Important information from Shelburne Rescue regarding the heat wave!

If you see a low-flying helicopter or airplane across Vermont over the next few days, don't worry — it's just the USDA and the Vermont Department of Health dropping oral rabies vaccine bait blister packs for raccoons and skunks! 🦝🦨

These packs are designed to help reduce the likelihood of wildlife getting the disease and eventually eliminate rabies in the United States. If you find a bait pack, leave it be — they don't harm people or pets. Learn more about the process here: https://ow.ly/LrYC50VKJ9r (pdf)

Image description: Blue nitrile gloved hands hold small, rectangular olive-green bait packs. The front shows an oval shape where the medicine is. The other shows the back of a pack which has the ingredients and instructions.
