Today the SLFD and SLPD were invited to participate in the Right to Read program at Knollwood School. Glad to see these second graders developing a love for reading at such a young age. Keep up the great work!

Sheffield Lake Fire Department was able to take advantage of the frozen lake in order to do some much needed ice rescue training. Using specialty ice rescue suits, members trained on retrieving conscious and unconscious victims.
Always remember that ice is dangerous and you can never be too careful.

The Sheffield Lake Fire Department remembers Vivian McCullough. Vivian was a valued, civic-minded resident and an employees of six different administrations. Our flag will be flown at half mast until Friday evening in her remembrance.

Vivian M. McCullough (nee Trubach), a long-time Sheffield Lake resident, passed away peacefully at her residence during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Today SLFD members received training on a new powered stairchair. The stairchair was purchased using a BWC grant and will be put in service in the near future.

The Sheffield Lake Fire Fighters L-2355 is proud to announce that the Sheffield Lake Fire Department will be a Toys for Tots drop off location from now until Dec 6th. Please donate new, unwrapped toys to this great program. The mission of Toys for Tots is deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
