October Pawlice Report! 🐾🚨

Officer Meyer here! I stopped by the Humane Society of Sheboygan County yesterday for my monthly Pawlice Report, and this month, I’m putting the spotlight on the cats! 🐱❤️

HSSC has a whole lot of cats and kittens in their care right now, and they’re all ready to fall into furever with you. I got to spend some time with Millie and Flo, and let me tell you, these girls made a pretty strong case for adoption!

🖤 Millie is 3 years old and as sweet as can be. She loves attention, pets and making new friends.
🖤🤍 Flo is just over a year old and a total purr machine. She’ll be right at the front of her kennel, meowing for attention and doing her best to convince you to choose her!

And there’s even more reason to adopt this month: 🎃 OCTO-PURR is happening now, with 50% off all cat and kitten adoption fees through October 31!

Not in a position to adopt? You can still help! HSSC relies on donations to care for all of these cats, and the many other animals who come through their doors. Their wish list is updated weekly with the supplies they need most, so there’s always an easy way to lend a paw. ❤️

SEPTEMBER PAWLICE REPORT 🐾🚔

September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month, so this month’s Pawlice Report focuses on keeping our four-legged family members safe, healthy, and happy! 🐶💙

Being a responsible dog owner means making a commitment for the lifetime of your pup. That includes:

🐾 Keeping up with veterinary care and vaccinations
🐾 Using a secure leash and making sure yards and fences are safe
🐾 Keeping ID tags current and having your dog microchipped
🐾 Providing plenty of exercise and mental enrichment
🐾 Using positive training and socialization to build confidence and good manners

And if you need a little help caring for your four-legged family member, our friends at the Humane Society of Sheboygan County offer resources to help local pets and their people!

HSSC offers low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics, pet food assistance through their Companion Animal Assistance Program, and other community programs designed to help keep pets healthy, safe, and with the people who love them. ❤️

Tank is a 3-year-old adoptable pup at HSSC, and he’s basically one big baby. ❤️ He’s an affectionate shadow who loves attention, long walks, tug, car rides, and being with his people. The community SHOWED UP today for our stuff the squad event for Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County. I was truly amazed at how many wonderful people showed support. 🎉

Walmart Sheboygan - Vanguard Dr also donated 100 dollars to Safe Harbor ❤️

Today we partnered up with Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline and hosted a “kicking it with the cops” event! We hosted a kick ball game with kids on the waiting list for BBBS, and then Culver's treated us to custard after 😍♥️🍦

If you or someone you know can spare some extra time and would be a good role model, sign up to be a “big” to a kid who would appreciate it 🫂

CSO Velazquez and I stopped out at the farmers market for lunch and saw some familiar faces 😊 I also have to buy flowers every time I stop by 🌺
