One driver, hundreds of lives changed!

Did you know that our Sheboygan County Connect program provided 219 rides in the first three months of this year alone? Operating with just a single driver, this vital ADRC of Sheboygan County service helps rural residents over 60, veterans, and adults with disabilities stay independent.

Whether it is a trip to a medical appointment, the grocery store, or the bank, we are here to bridge the gap for our rural neighbors. Rides are affordable and range from just $3 to $7 depending on the distance.

As one rider shared, “This service is a lifesaver for me... It gives me independence.”

Shoutout to our awesome driver Liane for making every mile count!

Help us spread the word! If you or a loved one could use this service, contact our Transportation Coordinator at 920-476-7137.

During my time off from work, I enjoy traveling to various countries and visiting multiple cities. People often describe me as spontaneous due to my last-minute activities, such as attending a concert one day and skydiving the next. I also enjoy attending sporting events, particularly when it involves supporting my brother’s soccer team. I value spending time with friends and family, including my two Yorkies.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Navigator Conference with my peers in Las Vegas to recognize our Accreditation in EMD. I am deeply grateful to work with such exceptional individuals in a rewarding profession.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, learning Spanish, and taking my dog on hikes and bike rides. What I love most about dispatching is the variety that we experience everyday! No two days are the same. We also get to help our local area - Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, DPW/ County Highway, etc.

What I love most is spending time with my family and listening to them laugh. I love to cook, go camping, go bike riding with my little bestie, and traveling with my husband. Packer and Brewer games are the best! I helped start the hopefully annual Sheboygan County Dispatch Food Drive with fellow Dispatch Supervisor Sam.

It’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! Our dispatchers are the critical link between our citizens and our deputies, fire, and EMS personnel. They work behind the scenes to save lives every single day.

To our team: Thank you for your resilience and your service. We are grateful for you!

This week, we proudly recognize and celebrate our dedicated Telecommunicators during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW). These professionals truly are the calm voice in moments of crisis, the steady hand guiding callers through emergencies, and the critical link connecting our deputies, EMS, and fire personnel to the help our community needs.

Our telecommunicators work around the clock, often behind the scenes, answering difficult calls, coordinating complex responses, and ensuring that help arrives quickly and safely. Their professionalism, compassion, and commitment make a difference in the lives of our citizens and the safety of our first responders every single day.

To our Telecommunicators: thank you for your dedication, resilience, and service to our community. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for all that you do. Please join us in recognizing and thanking these exceptional professionals during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
