Over the past couple years, we have been working to strengthen our skill set and relationship with the U. S. Coast Guard Station Sheboygan.

BM2 Fenner was an instrumental part of this. Today was BM2 Fenner’s last day with the USCG. Because of his dedication to building the relationship between both agencies and working to train our deputies, our unit presented BM2 Fenner with an Award of Excellence during his send off ceremony today.

We wish BM2 Fenner the best in his future endeavors!

The Water Safety Unit took delivery of a new 17’ Boston Whaler today. This unit will replace a 15’ aluminum Smokercraft. It is a multi purpose boat, with the ability to be used for patrol, search, rescue, and recovery on inland lakes, the Sheboygan River, and Lake Michigan. Once equipped, it will go into service next spring, working with our 27’ S.A.F.E. Boat.

On a serious note with warming temps and ice shelves, understand how dangerous it can be! We speak from experience, most of the shelves are in overhead water. Just don't do it!
