Pink shirts are back at Orange Cross for October.

For the second year, our team is wearing pink throughout the month in support of Pink Heals of Sheboygan County.

For every shirt purchased, $10 is donated directly to Sheboygan County Pink Heals to help support individuals and families in our community impacted by cancer.

We’re glad to continue this fundraiser for another year and support an organization doing meaningful work right here in Sheboygan County.

For ambulance services, falls are not a minor issue — falls are the most common reason ambulances are dispatched.

Many fall-related emergencies happen at home, and many risks can be reduced with a few simple changes:

Keep walkways clear of clutter and loose rugs

Improve lighting, especially near stairs and hallways

Wear supportive, properly fitting footwear

Use handrails and assistive devices when needed

Stay active to maintain strength and balance

Talk with your healthcare provider about medications, dizziness, vision, or balance concerns

At Orange Cross Ambulance, we see firsthand how quickly a fall can change someone’s day — and sometimes much more.

This Falls Prevention Awareness Week, take a few minutes to look around your home and help reduce the risk before an emergency happens.

🧡 Prevention starts before the ambulance is called.

Child Passenger Safety Week | September 20–26

Keeping kids safe on the road starts with making sure they’re riding in the right seat and properly secured every trip.

Under Wisconsin law:

Children must remain rear-facing until at least age 1 and 20 pounds

Children must use a forward-facing child safety seat with a harness until at least age 4 and 40 pounds

Children must use a booster seat until at least age 8, over 80 pounds, or taller than 4'9"

Parents and caregivers should also follow the height and weight limits provided by their car seat manufacturer and keep children in each stage as long as the seat allows.

🧡 Orange Cross Ambulance has a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician on staff who can perform car seat inspections as needed.

If you’re interested in having your child’s car seat checked, please contact Jeremy at (920) 912-3981.

Right seat. Right fit. Every ride.

🚑 Did you know?

Orange Cross Ambulance has been serving communities throughout Sheboygan County and beyond since 1979. As a nonprofit organization, we’re powered by a team of approximately 100 employees dedicated to providing compassionate, reliable care.

Our crews provide 911 response, interfacility transportation, special event coverage, community outreach, and more across a service area of approximately 475 square miles.

Behind every ambulance response is a team of EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and support staff working together to keep our communities moving.

🧡 We’re proud of our nonprofit mission, the team behind Orange Cross Ambulance, and the communities that have trusted us for more than four decades.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the people whose hard work keeps our communities moving — and for many in public safety, it is also another day on duty.

While many families are enjoying a long weekend, our EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics, dispatchers, and support staff continue to answer the call. They spend holidays away from their own families so they can be there for yours when help is needed most.

The work is not always easy. It means long shifts, missed meals, interrupted plans, difficult calls, and showing up with compassion and professionalism no matter what the day brings. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication our crews bring to Orange Cross Ambulance and to the communities we serve every day of the year.

To our team: thank you for the hours you put in, the sacrifices you make, and the care you provide. Your work matters, and so do you.

And to everyone working this Labor Day — in EMS, fire, law enforcement, healthcare, public works, hospitality, manufacturing, agriculture, and countless other professions — thank you for keeping our communities strong.

Have a safe and meaningful Labor Day. ❤️🤍💙

A little late to the post, but still worth sharing!

On August 5, Orange Cross Ambulance welcomed members of Plymouth Community Ed & Rec “Around the Town” program.

The group had the chance to learn more about how EMS works, how Orange Cross operates, and what goes into serving our local communities.

A big thank you to Christine, Megan, and Natasha for showing everyone around, answering questions, and sharing more about what we do at Orange Cross.

We’re always glad to have the opportunity to connect with our community!
