LOCATION OF CRIME: Town of Mitchell, 3000 block of County Road V
TYPE OF CRIME: Damage to property

A Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 3000 block of County Road V regarding a damaged excavator including cut lines for the diesel exhaust system and coolant. The total amount of damage was approximately $3,000.

Sheboygan Countywide Crime Stoppers is introducing a new way to keep our community safe and informed. We are replacing our former Crime of the Week segment with Word on the Street, a updated feature dedicated to highlighting open criminal cases across Sheboygan County. Word on the Street will allow us to share unsolved cases that need your attention.

Our goal remains exactly the same: providing local law enforcement with the critical pieces of information needed to solve crimes, while keeping your identity completely protected. If you recognize a suspect, witnessed an incident, or have any information regarding the cases featured on Word on the Street, you can pass that knowledge along with zero risk. Plus, you can earn a cash reward! Sheboygan Countywide Crime Stoppers will pay out a cash reward (up to $1,000) for any tip on any open case that directly results in an arrest.

As students across Sheboygan County head back to the classroom this week, Sheboygan Countywide Crime Stoppers wants to ensure everyone makes it to and from school safely! Whether your kids walk, bike, ride the bus, or drive, please keep these critical safety tips in mind:
👀 Drivers, Slow Down: Yellow flashing lights mean a bus is preparing to stop. Red flashing lights and an extended stop arm mean STOP—it is illegal to pass a school bus loading or unloading students. Slow down in all school zones and watch for crossing guards.
🚶 Walking & Biking: Students should always use designated crosswalks, look both ways before crossing, and avoid looking down at cell phones or wearing headphones while walking near traffic.
🎒 Secure Your Belongings: Keep school bags, electronics, and bikes locked up when not in use. Drivers, remember to lock your vehicles and keep valuables out of sight in school parking lots.

The driver left the scene of an accident in the roundabout located at S. 8 St/Indiana Ave on 08/30/26.
