Sheboygan County Division of Public Health Our mission is to strengthen the community of Sheboygan County by encouraging healthy behaviors, preventing disease and protecting members of our community.

nity or vulgarity. Profiles deemed inappropriate. Defamation of a person or people. Name calling and/or personal attacks. Spam, or commenting that exists only to sell a product. Comments that infringe on copyrights. Comments made repeatedly across threads. Disruption of discussion by deleting one's own comments. Links posted as comments may be deleted if they are off-topic, if the same person posts multiple links without commentary on the same thread, or if they are otherwise in violation of our comment policy. Repeated violations of our policy may cause a profile to be banned from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health page. New profiles made by banned profiles will be banned immediately.

Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related illness. It happens when your body's ability to sweat fails and your temperature rises to a dangerous level. Heat stroke can cause permanent disability or death if the person doesn't receive emergency treatment. Someone may be having heat stroke if they are confused; slurring their speech; have lost consciousness; have hot, dry skin; or a very high body temperature. To treat someone with heat stroke:
1. Call 911
2. Move the person to a shaded, cool area and remove any outer clothing
3. Cool them quickly using cold water or an ice bath, wetting the skin, placing cold wet cloths on the skin, and/or soaking their clothing with cold water
4. Place cold wet cloths or ice on the head, neck, armpits, and groin

The Ozone Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Unhealthy (Red) level in Sheboygan County today (June 4, 2026).

Sensitive groups: Do not do long or intense outdoor activities. Schedule outdoor activities in the morning when ozone is lower. Consider moving activities indoors.

People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick-relief medicine handy.

Everyone else: Reduce long or intense outdoor activity. Take more breaks, do less intense activities. Schedule outdoor activities in the morning when ozone is lower.
