Tonight's the night! 🌲 Join us for Hike Night on the trails behind Étude Elementary!

Here's what makes this extra special: every trail you'll walk tonight was mapped and created by our own students. This is their work. When our students study ecosystems, navigation, and teamwork, we don't just hand them a worksheet, we hand them the woods behind our school and let them build something real. Tonight is your chance to walk through it with them!

Meet at the stone circle behind Pigeon River. The short hike begins at 5:00 and the long hike begins at 5:30!

This week our 2nd and 3rd grade students kicked off something special...

Over the next couple weeks, they're spending time learning from Mark Denning, a Native American educator who joins 2/3 students every other year to dig into their essential question: How have Wisconsin tribes influenced our lives today?

Instead of just reading about history, our students are building relationships, listening to lived experience, and researching alongside someone who brings that history to life. It's the kind of learning that sticks, because it starts with curiosity instead of a textbook.

Grateful for partners like Mr. Denning who make this kind of deep, meaningful learning possible for our students. More to come as the sessions continue!

Fall colors, family time, and the trails your kids already know and love 🍂

Join us for Hike Night on Friday, October 9th from 5-7pm on the trails behind Étude Elementary! These trails were mapped by 2/3 students and are explored during the school day when all students are outside observing, wondering, and connecting with the natural world around them.

No agenda, no program, just fresh air, changing leaves, and time together as a community. Bring the whole family!

We already have a week of the school year under our belts! Our middle schoolers kicked off their first day the right way:

Students headed to Kiwanis for team-building challenges with their advisories. It's not just a fun outing, it's how we start building the collaboration and communication skills that carry students through the whole year.

Back at school, they also previewed all of our seminar options before signing up for their choice. This semester's lineup: Dance (African Hip Hop), Drama (Video Production), Art (Drawing Materials), and Music (Strings and Things).

Two very different activities, same goal: giving students a real say in their year and a strong foundation to build on. Here's to a great year ahead!

At Étude, we believe education should be transformative, not just preparing students for tests, but preparing them for life. We do school differently, on purpose.

Learning here is active, reflective, and deeply connected to the real world. From elementary through high school, our students don't just receive information. They build it, question it, and share it. Whether through arts integration, project-based learning, or simply being known and supported by their teachers, we are building a community where every student has a voice.

Swipe through to see the core values that drive our community every day.

Education should prepare students for life, not just tests.

At Étude Schools, learning isn't something students simply receive—it's something they build. Through project-based learning and arts integration, our students learn by doing, questioning, and creating. We believe that curiosity, communication, and collaboration are skills that last long after our students leave the classroom.

From elementary through high school, every student is known, supported, and challenged to connect their learning to the real world around them.

We are proud to offer a tuition-free, public charter school experience for all families across Sheboygan County. Come see what learning looks like when students take the lead. ✨
